Chemical Applicator

Summary

The Fertilization & Chemical Technician is responsible for applying herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers in accordance with industry and company standards. This role involves diagnosing turf and plant health issues, mixing and applying chemicals safely, and maintaining proper records to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Prepares, loads, and secures all chemical application equipment.
Cleans and fuels equipment daily.
Mixes chemicals and applies them based on conditions, dosage, and application needs.
Operates spray equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Scouts for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies; monitors overall landscape health.
Maintains accurate application logs and adheres to documentation policies.
Follows all safety procedures and uses proper PPE.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience in fertilization and chemical application.
Valid industry certification (CHP required).
Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong diagnostic skills in pest and disease identification.
Clean driving record and background check.
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
High sense of responsibility and commitment to safety and precision.
