Maintenance Gardener

Summary
The Maintenance Gardener performs routine landscape tasks to maintain clean, safe, and attractive outdoor areas. Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, garden upkeep, and debris removal while adhering to safety and grooming standards. This role supports the landscape team in preserving the overall health and appearance of client properties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, loads, and secures maintenance equipment for daily use.
- Cleans and refuels equipment at the end of each shift.
- Mows, weeds, trims, and edges lawns using hand and power tools.
- Prunes shrubs, trees, and palms; removes debris and litter.
- Identifies and reports turf, tree, pest, and irrigation issues to the Supervisor.
- Performs routine garden maintenance tasks to company and industry standards.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and grooming policies.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in grounds maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of plants, turf care, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery.
- Understanding of plant biology and plant families.
- Adherence to safety measures and cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
